Hi Tracy, I opted for a port before I started chemo, as I, too, have awful veins. It made chemo so much less stressful, knowing they weren't going to have to put a cannula in every time. It was stressful enough without that!
Are they going to do the port insertion the same day as your re-excision? That would at least save you another anaesthetic.
I had FEC-D, also. Ask questions whenever you like. Everyone responds & reacts differently, so I won't bore you with my experiences at this point.
