  • Hi Chris thats great news that everything has gone well. Sorry that your not too happy with the size. I am like you i have not had my larger implant replaced yet or nipple reconstruction as i am too scarred that i will get an infection. I am scheduled for April to have the larger implant swapped over but i am so confused i don't know what i will do. I like the larger side but it is a little too heavy and causes quite a bit of discomfort and i am not sure if i am going to be happy with the smaller size after getting used to the size i have now. And i can't stop thinking what if i get an infection and have to have the implant removed completely then i would be so dissappointed that i did not just leave it.

My skin is also very thin on top of the implant. Do you know how thick the skin actually is that is covering it?? My implants are also very cold, its hard to stay warm now too. Do you get this??

I quite like not having nipples. I think i will go through with the nipple reconstruction i am just in no hurry.

My life has all of a sudden got very busy with the kids and all their sporting activities and school and i don't want to take any more time away from them at the moment.

Take care of yourself, love Danielle xx

  • Hi Danielle, I am doing well thanks. I am vey happy with my new boobs, though wonder if I should have gone a little bigger. 495g per implant seemed very large, and I was actually worried that I would be a bit too big. I am about a size B cup, which is what I was before. I haven't had nipples yet. The Dr said we need to wait up to 6 months while the implants change and move around and settle a bit. Once he is certain that they are in the permanent position, then we can do them if I want. I am not so sure now. Everything has gone well, and I might not want to risk doing anything to alter this. Have you had nipples put on, and if so do they look good? My skin feels very thin over the implant, and I would hate to introduce an infection just for the sake of nipples that noone will see. My hubby doesn't mind one way or the other. When do you get your implants sorted out? Loce Chris xx
  • Hi Chris and Danielle,

Chris  Im following you. Tissue expanders and implants. The travelling is a pain but it will be worth it in the long run and compared to what most ladies have to do, mine is a run in the park.

Danielle, Have you got cabin fever from being home alone? I was quite lost when that happened all those years ago. Lucky you have internet, its a great filler of days.

    Nice chatting

  • Hi Chris,

How have you been? How are you feeling since the exchange? Any plans for you for nipple reconstruction??

My kids are both at school this year so i am lost at home lately, very quiet but also very boring!!

I hope you are doing well,

    Danielle xx

  • Hi Ann,

Hope you are feeling better. 10 hour round trip gee that is a long trip but as you say the finished results will be worth while!!

    Danielle xx

  • Hi Annie, a 10 hour round trip for suture removal, is a bit rough, but I guess the surgeon wants to see his handy work. What type of reconstruction did you have?. I have just completed bilateral reonstruction with implants, and I am very happy with the results. It is 6 weeks since my expanders were exchanged for silicone, and they are much more comfortable. All the best. Loe Chris xx
