My journey so far...
I had my surgery on Thurs 31/3. The day took so long. I have recurring bursitis in my right shoulder and limited mobility in it, so having it held above my head for nearly 2 hr...
Hi Jacqui, I had my bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction on the 23rd of March and see the doctor on thursday 7th april so he can make sure incisions and expanders and all are ok. My test tesults to lymph nodes they took out come back clear of cancer with clear margins which i was happy about i cannot sleep on my side yet as it hurts to much. Starting to be able to llift my Rms a bit higher now i have still quite a bit of swelling that i have been putting icepacks on every so often still really sore. And to top things off i have to start my first lot of chemo on friday 8th so hopefully i will not get to sick from that. I just have to think i am lucky as i only need 4 treatments of chemo cancer gone now bit they do it for precaution. I have the brca1 gene to so when they found cancer in my left breast i said take both my breasts so i do not get cancer back i also had a hysterectomy in 2013 because of the brca gene. I hope u heal well and i know what u going through as i am going through healing after mastectomy to. If u need someone to talk to everyone on here is very nice we ate all a big family on here and ate willing to listen and reply to u. Have u in my prayers take care of yourself. xxxxxoooo
