Port Removal
Feeling a bit anxious now. I have my gown on and they're about to come and get me to take me to theatre to get the port out. See you on the other side!

- I've posted in Night Howls but will do so again. Ladies in Black was absolutely delightful. I kept realising during the movie that I had a smile constantly plastered on my face and my friend said the same. Probably not for most blokes as the story is not fast-paced and doesn't really go anywhere but definitely one to go to with like-minded girlfriends.
Port site hurts a lot - I think I must have expected it to be magically fine. It's a reminder that, at the moment, I have a repaired hole near my heart. (insert dramatic shiver, here) - Well done, @Sister! Better out than in! Gee that was QUICK! Your surgeon sounds LOVELY!
OMG I still have quite a few vinyls - we got rid of HEAPS when we left NZ 20 years ago ..... and wish I hadn't! :( (Mind you, I haven't played them much, either!) STILL got my old 70s stereo setup, with record player, too! ;)
Now you can just relax & look forward to getting to the beach in 2 weeks! How lovely that will be!! Make sure someone videos you on the SUP! ;)
Re the 'Italics' - if you 'highlight all of it' (Control A should do it) and then, either do 'Control I' (as in the letter) or hit the 'I ' button up next to the B button next to your lovely sunset (2nd from the left) - and it should all go back to normal upright style. ;)Enjoy Ladies in Black - it is supposed to be brilliant!! :) - Well done. - So glad to have it out! In at hospital at 7am, procedure at 8:30am, discharged at 9:20am. Chatted with the surgeon about music and records while he was taking it out (just sold all my vinyl this week and the doc is the same vintage as me). And the timing is perfect - can't go in the water for 2 weeks which will take me up to the day we get down to the beach! Resting today then off to see Ladies in Black with a bestie tonight to thank her for all the help she has given me this year.

- I had my port out this week too. Having the dressing on reminds me of when I first started chemo then I remember how far I've come since then...
