I had some post menopausal bleeding, and in the workup for that it was discovered that I had a "slightly complex" 2cm ovarian cyst. At that point I was around 2 years post treatment. I was in the position of being able to afford to see a private gynae, and we went with a watch and wait approach to start with. I did end up having surgery and removing tubes and ovaries, and the cyst was benign.
Is there an alternate public hospital that you could have a referral sent to? 10cm seems like a very big cyst to be left until next year for an initial appointment.
Alternatively, could you perhaps contact some local gynae's rooms and see if they would see you as a public patient?
