Hi, my oncoligist was very keen to do a hysto, we waited till I was fully menopausal which was determined by constant blood test I had it done 11 months ago, her reasoning was it's one less place for the cancer to go to as my cancer lobular carcinoma was hormone driven. I was of work for 8 weeks as I also had a prolapse repair. I'm so glad I had it done, mind you not all ladies I know had it done or was recommended. Ask your onco. Adean
