@wendy55 I’ve heard also butterflies are a passed soul. And dragon fly.  Not sure if they turn up when we need them, or if we search for them and thereby notice them when we need them. Whatever works for each. <3

I agree, whatever works for the individual, I must confess I do believe in guardian angels though, I was driving my late father in laws car some years ago and although I had driven it occasionally this was the first time I had driven a long way, after overtaking I came back in too quickly and had to correct I felt a strong hand on my left shoulder and I was able to drive on safely, since that day, I have  felt a feeling of someone/something putting a hand on my shoulder when I have been in a bit of trouble. and I think of my late father in law, also I was told if you have willie wag tails in your garden they are the spirit of someone who has passed on, I talk to my willie wag tails quite a bit!, call me a silly old woman, but its a case of giving me a sense of peace and calm, I like to feel that my late father is close by,just keeping an eye on me and mine,

Your Higher Power can be past friends/family, God, the Universe, Angels, Buddha or the Sun......  Whoever and whatever works for YOU. 

I have called on my grandma, great grandma and great aunts, all deceased,  to help me through this horrible bc business.  They feel close. Its comforting. 

And a thought just occurred to me....... so I asked the titty Angel if she could repair my half chopped titty. Fingers crossed lol.....

I distinctly remember events in my life where I feel my parents providing support. When my son had attempted suicide  I spoke to my Dad and asked him  help my son. He wasn't eating and so depressed. He awoke the next morning asking me for a boiled egg and a cup of tea. This was a sign. A number of times when I'm in need the  egg cup falls off our mantel.  My Dad was known for eggs and tea....it was a family joke. It happened after my brother almost died after falling through  a roof. My elsest son witnessed it. I was cooking. ..neither near it...and it just fell off.  Knew then my brother would  make it. When he first was in intensive care I coukd hear his deceased wife yelling at him to not give up...he had made her a promise to be thete for the kids. It went for 3 days...then stopped. I got the message after that he was hoing to pull through .

When I was waiting to see my breast surgeon I was having coffee under a tree. I was doing a mindfulness technique to calm down. It was my mothers and sister in laws birthday. Both had passed. I distinctly heard them speak to me..."it will be okay". I went into that  appointment truly believing that. I also had my Mum visit one more time clearly. It was after treatment was stopped. I felt lost and down and really missed having that family member to lean on lile you do a Mum. I awoke startled after a visual experience of a birthday card with my Mum's handwriting....just saying love Mum. I fully expected to see her right next to me.
My father has appeared in dreams and I could speak to him and in the  dream I knew he was passed. I've recalled saying...I know your dead Dad but gee it's nice to see you.

Guardian Angels? ...Who knows? Memory?..Hope? I don't pretend to understand but feel comfort, have a few tears but it makes me stronger as I know it's their way of giving me strength to carry on. 

Good on you, that is true, "whatever it takes".  I lost my Mum last year, and I talk to her more than I did when she was here.  Of course I had to actually dial the phone before, and now I can chat wherever and whenever I want (sometimes trying not to move my lips??)  You don't realise how much you will miss them till they are gone.  I like to think that my parents are my my guardian angels (of course I hope that they are also with all there loved ones too!)

We're not talking pixie size here, they are about 7 or 8 ft tall.

Probably need to revise that from talking to them to talking at them. I guess it's away of honouring the dead and my relationship with them
