- Bon_BonMemberMy symptoms took a while to kick in, I’ve finished chemo but the pains in my hands and feet are still so bad, Lyrica panadol osteo and Endone, then it’s fine
- onemargieMemberHey love it’s shitty isn’t it. I only had it for 2 days but the warm baths with the body shop Egyptian bath milk (too bloody hot at the moment though) and exercise helped too but it was painful getting moving but once I stsrted it was better. Maybe you could try swimming. That’s what I would of done if I had chemo in summer. Let me know how you feel tomorrow. Margie x
- PatsyNMemberI thought Taxol was the absolute pits. I'd done the 2 months of dose dense AC beforehand and found that it must have been the steroids keeping me happy. Once the taxol started I began every day with a cry. By the time I got to week 12 I was unable to walk unassisted. I had my last dose of Taxol in mid November and although my walking has improved, I still move like a drunk and have completely forgotten how to run. My joints don't seem to lock into place anymore, they give way without any notice. I took Endone combined with Panadeine forte. It was the only way to get me out of the house. I blame taxol on all my bad days.
- RachwllmsMember@Jen79x thank you xx
- Jen79xMember@Rachwllms don’t stress my first taxol was the worst and I had just done 4 ac too. I was worried how I would get through. Session 2 was better and even though it’s getting worse I don’t think I’m as bad now at session 1 as in that first one.
My onc said ibuprofen was fine as long as platelets are ok so I wouldn’t stress.
Hope you feel feel better soon - RachwllmsMemberOh great !! I hadn't been told that by anyone. I have lived on ibuprofen for the last 3 days.
- MKitty68Member@Rachwllms you're not supposed to have ibuprofen whilst on chemo as it thins the blood. I was told this during my pre-chemo info session, and by my Oncol
@Spiv1803, ask them for some endone, it will at least help with the pain, as well as Targin morning & night, the Endone is for breakthrough pain & can help with the bone pain. Force yourself to do a little excercise but also rest plenty & drink LOTS of water. - Spiv1803Member@Jen79x Wednesday was my first taxol, have completed 4 AC
- RachwllmsMemberTry ibuprofen. I had the neulsta injection and the only thing that worked was ibuprofen.
- MollygirlMemberHi @Spiv1803, I really suffered with the bone pain... It's the pits. I guess I was fortunate it was winter as I found heat helped and endone. Big hugs Honey xxxxoooo
