Osteoporosis

Hi Linda,I also was diagnosed with osteoporosis, after treatment. My osteoporosis is advanced, and I started on injections,6 monthly. However, just recently I have stepped things up a notch or 2!! I have just read a book by Dr.Ray Hinish called the osteoporosis diet.It was VERY interesting, and I took the information from it and talked to a nutritionist ,who, pretty much agreed with what was in the book.I now supplement with Vit D,Vit K2 and Bone Matrix support ( by eagle) which is equal amounts of calcium and magnesium ,and also other important vitamins and minerals.I have pretty much changed my diet, and now I eat on a daily basis,20 walnuts or almonds, salmon WITH bones,LOTS of green vegetables( especially kale or spinach raw) fruit for Vit c( oranges or kiwi) lots of water and absolutely NO soft drink,EVER!!!!!!It is much more in depth than this, but this is the basic idea. Exercise daily, and especially weight bearing exercise,This can even be walking up stairs:):) Walking is good, but it has to be fast and make sure to strike the ground as hard as you can with your feet.Take care and please stay in touch.Cheers Robynxox
