In the cancer world your results are good.Your results are the same as mine were in 2003- 2cm,stage11 and hormone +ve. I had a full node clearance-not sure if you had that or just the sentinal nodes.Radiation is scary at first but much easier than chemo.It's just like a bad case of sunburn and you might get tired along the way-and ofcourse,the inconvenience of going there every day. You may find that your radiated boob is permanently a bit uncomfortable(or not).But at least there is something to fill your bra and you don't have to alter your necklines.I'm on Tamoxifen and it's not too bad.You might get some hot flushes,fluid retention and sleepless nights- o maybe some weight gain. Some women have no side effects at all.Don't worry,just wait and see.

        We are all getting along well at my daughter and her partner's place.They are very easy to live with but I do miss my bed and computer and my stuff in general.We are having a night away in the city to see Mary Poppins this week.So far I am not missing work.

Thanks Tonya, I honestly cant  believe the difference in the doctors i have seen.

My results could not have been much better . Nodes all clear, positive to hormone receptive and all margins clear.  2 cm , Grade ll,  I will have  No Chemo Yay, 6 weeks of radiation , see oncologist in two weeks for first initial set up visit.  Start zuludex on Monday. Start Tamoxifen when i am ready to start. ( They said i would go into menopause within 6 weeks ? is that true.) (not sure if i wont to lol)

They said with all the pathology results i could have got i ended up with the best results.  They did explain that with my other hormonal problems if the tamoxifen is to harsh they can look at doing something else. I don't know what else there is but we will see.  I am still scared but hey this is great news.

Hope you are doing fine Tonya at your daughters. Not long now until your house will be ready and you can settle back down in the comforts of your own home.

Hi Jo,

I think it must be so harder to go through all  this on your own.My husband was the one who saw me at my low points and was there to put his arm around me when I was having a sook.I tended to stay strong for others.You need to have that one person who you can be yourself with and have a hug.

When I had a lumpectomy,my boob was never the same.It was much smaller and my nipple was squashed over.So you are not alone having wonky boob. That's a bit rough about your tooth.The aneasthetist must have bumped it when he was intubating you.Maybe ask to speak with him?These things happen but it would be nice to have an explanation and an apology. Poor darl,we can all empathize with you.

sorry you are going through this but  you must let people know how you feel and explain to them why they need to help you  now and in the harder times and would probably be more than willing if they understand your difficulties and fears,try them as they may surprise you,  have you given them any of the information booklets or a number to call?

I found when my family and friends  had the info on hand it was much easier  and  I didnt have to explain it 100 times over, the great excuse of cancer/chemo brain took care of that as well, lol

You deserve  respect as a  cancer patient and your surgeon and G.P were out of line,  this stuff is hard, horrid and worthy of howling whenever the damn hell you want so let it rip whenever you want baby, we are usually here at the wee hours when there is no one else around and we understand what you are talking about

i feel for you at this time, and yes i was shocked and upset at my new breast ( boob )  shape initially. also because of the pain and discomfort you know it is there, and under the arm. i think time has helped, and getting a prosthesis to even the weight from the other side. i also have less pain now.

do look into some pain relief. i read it helps with healing.

it is ok to vent on here. it IS a loss/ grief rection after BC. i went into major DENIAL i think also. lots of emotions like sadness, shock, bargaining.

finally acceptance happened, but not for some time.

have you got some support to turn to? i hope so.

Im glad  you are enjoying your time now that your not working.  I really miss not being out there and cant wait till i can get back into the workforce. I just need this treatment plan to hurry up and be done with.

The wound site under the arm is the worse, very red , swollen and throbs,(bearable though)  the wound under my boob is not as sore. I have made appointment with GP to check if something is going on.

My boob is a disgusting shape now, it is gross. Sorry!  i wont start
