One week diagnosed

Hi Dutchessart, I don't know what's normal...I just got diagnosed 10 days ago and met my surgeon 6 days after my diagnosis. Like you, I'm wondering if the stuff the surgeon is suggesting is 'normal' or not - hard to help it really. But I keep getting reminded here that we have a team there who's job it is to help us, and that they are just waiting for us to ask our questions. 

Did you meet a breast care nurse yet? the one I met at the breast cancer clinic at the hospital gave me her contact details. Or have you tried calling the help line here or at Cancer Council?

Are you finding the long weekend difficult? I am struggling a bit. There's not enough going on to distract me, and everyone's trying not to be gloomy but honestly we're all feeling awful. Scared, shocked, sad. 

Just wanted you to know you're not alone.
