One thing after another!
I have neuropathy in my hands and feet pretty bad so oncologist has put chemo on hold for the last 2 weeks. I have been having paclitaxel fortnightly. Next week she is changing the drug and it will be weekly. Pretty bummed about that as i was due to finish chemo next week and now i won't finish until end of November.
Also, my mum has found a lump in her breast and is due for a biopsy in 2 weeks. Not sure we could cope if we both had cancer at the same time...

- Some good news today - mums lump is just a cyst
- I am feeling really lethargic and lots of hot flushes but apart from that i am doing ok
- I had docetaxel and was fine with the first dose but on the second I had a reaction. Have someone keep an eye on you as sometimes the nurses get busy, walk around to the next cubicle and then the reaction started. I was in no condition to push any emergency button and my hubby realised quickly and ran for the nurse. Lots more premeds and I was fine to continue.
- I am now on docetaxel every 3 weeks. Luckily i only have to have it this week and then in 3wks and then chemo is finished

Can you keep us posted on the name of the drug please? I have a friend going through this and starting Taxol now but it would be nice to know of a backup in case she experiences issues. - Hi Tarnya,
Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time with neuropathy ..its a pain! I was taken off chemo for the same reason, which pushed out my treatment and holiday !!!! plans. I was not happy! Having said that, the weekly treatment was much better and did allow improvement to the feeling in my fingers. Eight months post treatment I have numb toes only, so while it has been slow, there has been improvement. Just make sure you adjust to everyday life, like holding onto a rail if using stairs and being mindful about what you do .. I am sure that it won't be long before you see an improvement.
