One more chemo to go...

Hi Lesley, I will say a prayer for you. I hope that your tests will all be negative, but it is hard to think this way once you have already had a BC diagnosis. I had to go through core biopsies a second time with my second breast just prior to a prophylactic mastectomy. The lump showed up on ultrasound, and not mammogram, and as this had happened 8 months before hand, I was convinced that I had cancer again, especially since the radiologist said the lesion looked highly suspicious. I had a very anxious 2 day wait, but found out it was benign. The waiting is the pits, and I will be thinking of you over Easter as you wait for results. I am very happy to have now had bilateral mastectomies, and have no regrets at all. Good luck with everything, and please keep in touch. Love Chris xx

Hi ... my name is Lesley (yes WendyA - it's me!!). I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in March 2010. I live in the Townsville area, and am aware of one other lady who has IBC. I believe she's known as IBCwarrior..... hello to you as well!!

I just made it past the 2 years from diagnosis, when I have noticed the same old suspicious rash on my remaining breast.

I was on the Gold Coast at the time, and thankfully the Dr listened to me and did a punch biopsy...it came back negative. I don't trust this insidious disease one bit - so I saw my breast surgeon yesterday. She sent me down for a Mammogram and Ultrasound, after which another Dr took punch biopsies of 2 swollen lymph nodes in the R axilla. I will find out the results tomorrow.

If they're cancerous, we then do more punch biopsies to test for IBC. It's going to be a long wait for the results of that - due to the Easter holidays.

Congratulations on reaching the end of your chemo. I agree organising a trip away is a good thing. I did that and it really gives you something to look forward to at the end plus you deserve it.
