Hi ... my name is Lesley (yes WendyA - it's me!!). I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in March 2010. I live in the Townsville area, and am aware of one other lady who has IBC. I believe she's known as IBCwarrior..... hello to you as well!!
I just made it past the 2 years from diagnosis, when I have noticed the same old suspicious rash on my remaining breast.
I was on the Gold Coast at the time, and thankfully the Dr listened to me and did a punch biopsy...it came back negative. I don't trust this insidious disease one bit - so I saw my breast surgeon yesterday. She sent me down for a Mammogram and Ultrasound, after which another Dr took punch biopsies of 2 swollen lymph nodes in the R axilla. I will find out the results tomorrow.
If they're cancerous, we then do more punch biopsies to test for IBC. It's going to be a long wait for the results of that - due to the Easter holidays.
Oh well..........if anyone reading this would say a prayer for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks
