ondansetron and cost

Hi everyone sorry forgot to ask in my last question also. I've been given a script for Ondan but warned they are quite expensive - does anyone know approximately how expensive? thanks in advance
  • Wow that's cheap @SoldierCrab.  The last time I got some of these they were over $40 and you only get a few.
  • For some reason mine were subsidised and I hardly paid anything. I think it had something to do with how and who prescribes it.
  • thanks everyone, I gave in today and went and got the ondansetron - $60 for 30 tabs (generic brand) which I guess isn't too bad. hopefully this will help. I'm not vomiting but the nausea hits and I get a pain at the top of my stomach. from the Neulasta my leg bones haven't been too bad but it feel very tender around my shoulders, back and neck. Panadol and claratyne seem to work. I feel very sad today as it sinks in that this is how it is to be. trying to be positive but right now its very hard. I had treatment on Thursday. I wonder at what point I might feel like I don't have the worse dose of the flu, when you start to feel a 'bit better' before you go in again.
  • I only only felt like I had the flu the first round and it only lasted for two days (day 4/5). Hopefully it will be the same for you.
