We are so Sorry to see you joining our select little group kmc1
It is Great that you have had your surgery & good pathology results. I hope you are recovering well. xx
It is always a whirlwind at the start with heaps of information overload & even confusion ... if you ever feel stressed - you can always call the Helpline on 1800 500 258 (Mon-Fri, 9-5) for a confidential chat. xx
Have you been advised whether you need chemo (or not) yet?
What do you understand is the next phase of your treatment?
On a personal note, we had oncotype testing for my husband - it cost about $5,000 and takes 3-4 weeks for results. I don't believe you can claim it on medicare or private insurance. The samples were sent to the USA but the only recommended treatment solutions for him were only available in the USA & were not approved for treatment in Australia. :( So it didn't really help us that much :(
I'd suggest you discuss this with your Medical Oncologist for a clear understanding of how it works & any possible benefits for you. xx.
If you have a Breast Cancer Nurse, you could ask them about it too xx
take care & all the best xx

I would get in contact with your Oncologist on Monday. The test is only relevant if Chemotherapy is being considered as part of your treatment.
