Number 1 down!

Hi all you lovely ladies,

Just keeping you all posted that I had my first dose of TC yesterday and came through it with out as much as a hiccup thank God! I had no nasty reaction to either of the drugs they used so that was such a relief,  had a rather good night up until 1:06am when I felt like the last thing I had eaten could have just come up but no neausa with it so I just propped myself up on another pillow and fell back to sleep until 7am when I have to get up and get the kids school lunches made :-)  It was a very long day at the hospital as we got there early for a partk underneather the hospital car park, went in had a look around and a coffee at the cafe and went to see Helen at breacan, then at 1pm went into be seated for the 1st round, of course I had orientation with the full run down of what was going to happen which was good had 1 & 1/2 calm me down pills under the tongue as I suffer from accuted panic disorder,  and away we went.....finished at 6:30pm thank goodness we only live 25 minutes out of Melbourne so the drive home was brief.  I shall endevour to keep you up dated with my side effects as the days progress.  Oh & btw thanks for all you helpful hints they were much appreciated!

Brightest Blessings to you all,  Susan  xxxx

  • Thanks for your advice Leonie, I can always use a motherly figure as I lost my own to BC 13 years ago and really dont have any other family but my own immediate family at home with me so your advice is always welcomed!

  • Your sore head is probably the hair follicules dying.  I found that as soon as I shaved my head the soreness was gone. XLeonie

  • Good for you, Susan, that's a big milestone past.  Hope you don't have too many side-effects to deal with.

  • Hi Susan,  Well done, one down.  Now the best advice I was given was "Go with the flow".  When you feel sluggish = lie down;  when you feel well (especially on the pre-meds) do whatever you need to;  etc etc.  Try not to push yourself.  Also eat when you feel hungry and whatever you feel like - it really is a time to "bow out" of routine.  Gee I sound like your mother - just hope it is helpful advice to you.  I know from my experience that this was helpful for me.  Take care - I never planned anything that I couldn't get out of.
