What a hassle so far....to state the obvious! There seem to be so many curveballs through this whole process. I'm halfway through chemo and have just had a 4-night stint in hospital cause my original surgery wound (from nearly 3 months ago!) has not healed yet, got an infection and I needed IV antibiotics. - still do, thank god I got a port put in!
Be prepared for more little curveballs along the way. Chemo knocks you around and I've had other unexpected health things not related to chemo but think lower immune system means other things crop up.
Hopefully your chemo goes as planned and you get through it quickly.
