I don't blame you that core biopsy is crap and it took weeks for me to get over it and carried the bruising for ages.

If you are so far only going through your GP Dr, then the McGrath nurse wouldn't have been notified yet probably of your condition. I only found out after I was referred to the surgeon at the general hospital. I could have really done with a consultation with the nurse earlier.

To speed things up so your local breast nurse is aware, give the general hospital outpatients a ring or the breast screening clinic at the hospital (my mammogram was done with a private bulk billing mob), and see if they can give you her contact number. McGrath nurses are worth their weight in gold at calming the early panic stations of diagnosis.
