new girl

Hello to everyone out there..im only new and this is my first post so I hope I have things right..I was diagnosed on 3/10..lumpectomy and lympth node removal on 7/11 rushed back to hospital on 11/11 due to haematoma ,, they found PE..lung clot on 12/11 & went back into surgery on 13/11 to be flushed out and control bleeding...recieved my results last friday 22/11 from pathology..lump was high grade3..but marginsvand nodes clear..now being sent for ct scans and bone scans..im also waiting to hear from the oncologist as to weather further treatment will radiotheraphy or chemotherapy. ?.however, I do havevanother large swollen haematomea which the docotrsbhope will subsidebon its own,,, but whats bothering me is I had no dimpling on my breast before or after surgery..although in the lastvtwo days it has appeared quite noticably..can anyone tell me if they havevor have had this???.. is it normal ??.. any advice would be appreciated...

  • hi there, hard to know about dimpling--reminds me of dumplings which i only have good associations with; i had lumpectomy and i saw some photos in the handbook and elsewhere but i was pleasantly surprised about my breast--i think you would have to look 'hard' to notice; however the 'site' does change from one week to another after surgery and then im having radiation and there are some new sensations with that--slightly fuller shape which i like--which may not last; so im erring on the side of unless really concerning 'let it be' --could be smaller 'filler' put in etc everything just 'settling' after surgery...

  • Hi Janey, thank you for that..I will contactvthem first thing tomorrw...im on warfarin for my PE..& yes the constant bloodvtestsvarevterrible..im unluckynenough to have difficult veins ..theyvwerevusing my feet hourly in hospital, until one day i could take no more...its beeb better in thevlast few days though..I finally had my first day free of needles in two weeks last Friday..back again tomorrow. Its nice to meet you..I hope your fight is going well
