New diagnosis
Hi ladies, I am 41 with 2 perfect children 16 and 21, and the worlds most devoted husband.
I was diagnosed a few weeks back with 2x grade 2 tumors, and her2 positive plus pos and neg for hormones reception.
I have had 1 surgery (lumectomy) but did not get clear margins on the tumors, but nodes were clear. I am waiting on the second surgery followed by chemo and radio.
I have a very supportive network of friends and family and fortunate to have some sick leave available from work.
We find the waiting is the worst part of this so far. Information is the best part, we have done hours of research which helps us. Then finding this site and to be able to read your experiences has been great for me, usually in the wee hours!
So right now I am waiting for a treatment plan and reading about your experiences with chemo, some very scary, but I certainly appreciate your honesty.
I feel for you who have less support than me, I feel very lucky. You have amazing strength to have to endure this nasty condition alone, even when surrounded by others.
I have got one thing to share for other large breasted women, I am a G cup and no post op bras came close, I have found wearing 3 xlarge Arh bras really comfortable and supportive.
Cheers for now, Louie
