I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with early breast cancer, and had my surgery only on Tuesday of this week!I think the lead up to the op. is the worst ,most stressful time, but it all went pretty well, and I am resting at home.
I too, have had amazing support from a very loving partner, and son, and lots of other family and friends! It really humbles you to feel all that care, and helps you along. My sister has been through Breast cancer twice, and had 2 Mastectomies,so she's been very supportive and understanding.
i know what other women feelabout wanting to exercise, but not having the energy, but I think you have to stop comparing yourself with others, and do things at your own pace. i took the dog for an early morning walk, then came home and slept for about 3 hours!
I am stressing about when I should go back to work, and will I be up to it, i'm sure lots of women feel the same. you go through the guilts, and think you're being lazy, but you do have to listen to your body, don't you think?
happy to join in any discussions, it makes you feel we are not alone!
Cheers,
Annieb
