Need to know to stop worrying

Yes...standard for planning. We all still get anxious though ....so that is quite normal too.

Just letting everyone know that the PET scan is off the table (they had incorrect information) and it will now be a bone and CT scan, which I believe is quite normal.

You are very sensible and have made me feel less stressful. Just had a phone call to say it is not a PET scan, they had it incorrect, but it is a bone scan and CT scan which is, I believe, very normal.

Just had a phone call to say the PET scan was a mistake and instead have to have a bone scan and CT scan which I believe is quite normal.  You have reminded me that I vaguely remember being told about a meeting they all have to decide the best course of treatment.  Thanks for that - I had forgotten all about it.

The surgeon specialists do a presentation called 'staging' to present to oncology and radiography so they can all get together and figure out what is the best course of treatment. The PET or CT scan checks all the soft stuff inside and you may need a bone scan as well. Its sort of to make sure there's nothing else sinister they may have to deal with. Any chemo can be rough on your kidneys and liver too, so they want to know those are in good shape to cope with that.

In regards to your pathology tests, if its bad news you will be called in sooner. If its ok then they make you wait for the good news. Waiting is an absolute pain.

Welcome to the site. It's ok to be scared, anxious, weepy as you are going through a very physical and emotional time. How strong are you though - you've already endured two surgeries!! Waiting for the results can be very stressful but the thing I tried to keep in mind when I was waiting was that the results were already in the tissue that I had had removed and no amount of stressing over the results was actually going to change them. Not panicking so much now after so many comments from you lovely ladies.  It is so nice to have people who have gone through similar things telling me it is quite normal and to relax.  Will be certainly keeping contact.

Hi like others I had many tests prior to surgery and then after so dont panic it means they are checking everything to make sure they know the right options they have available for you to choose from. 

Breathe try to do some meditation or yoga if you do those already to relax. 

I would recommend what the ladies  here are saying is we are all hear for you... Yes each path is slightly different but we understand and we will be happy to hear the good bad and ugly side of your journey through this Bl**dy BC .... 

we all have learnt to encourage others share our ups and downs as we go through this.

I was worried they had early results and they were bad.  Think you have eased my mind a bit and will let you all know what the results are.
