NATALEE trial

@youngdogmum - you have given the trial some thought and whatever you decide is right for you.  Having had to travel the 75kms each way when I was diagnosed I can fully understand that side of your decision-making.  Trials are necessary to help future ladies but I am sure ladies living closer to the hospital will come forward to take your place in the trial.  Perhaps step back and make this more about YOU right now - with no guilt feelings.

So Sorry to hear you don’t have much adult support, @youngdogmum   Is there a BC support group near you?  Do you have  Breast Care Nurse?  They may be able to put you onto someone?  Mind you, BCNA is the only group that I joined!!

I just try to keep myself as busy as I can with my passions (uke and Fishing) to push other thoughts out of my head.  

Do do you have any passions that you can get into?  Or something that you enjoy doing that you can turn into a passion?  Wishing you all the best and big hugs xxxx

Another perspective @youngdogmum, would be to go through all of that and then find that it didn't work.

Thank you @arpie, @Blossom1961, @kmakm & @Sister for your advice and encouragement. I have another week-ish until I see Onc to finalise any questions I have and sign after that. I'll keep mulling it over, but I agree my gut instinct is probably right for now. 
Its' been such a huge year and still isn't over, I haven't finished rads yet. No plans to return to work yet etc, just a little bit over being an adult with very little adult support in my life such as family etc

There can come a time when you've just had enough but as @kmakm says, give it a few days.

Not at all. You have to listen to your body and your inner self. If there was enthusiasm for participation, you wouldn't be asking the question. However your current feeling might pass. Can you give it a few days or weeks? What does your gut say? Toss a coin and observe your reaction. You've had cancer! There shouldxbe no guilt about wanting to give yourself a break. K xox 

@youngdogmum No you are not a bad person. You have gone through a lot and sometimes our bodies say ‘enough’. Take care of yourself. Big hugs.

You just have to do what feels right for you @youngdogmum .... I am currently quite happy with Anastrazole after trying Letrozole and Exemestane .... 

i was offered the chance of a trial back in May last year - but was either going to be on or off the Hormone treatment (and not knowing which I had!) .... I wasn’t prepared NOT to have it.  So knowing you ARE still on it, is a good thing?

The time has come to sign the paperwork and begin screening. 
I'm actually not sure I want to do it anymore. I'm a bit worn out, physically I'm doing well but I'm not sure I really want to return to the hospital so frequently for next few months for testing. The hospital is 70km from me, I won't be remibursed for fuel but will receive the endocrine therapy, Zoladex and if I'm randomised it, the ribociclib free. So that saves me $90/month I suppose. Should receive a parking voucher. 
Kind of at a point where I want to step back, start my endocrine therapy and just be...
Am I a bad person for not participating in a clinical trial?

I haven't heard of this trial, but there is/was a similar trial wth Palbociclib, the PALLAS trial that a number of women on the forum were participating in. @Molly001, @KatyJoy were a couple of them. They may be able to offer advice/ support
