YLYMember9 years agoHopes and Dreams -Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I have not been on the forums in the past few weeks so apologies for the delayed response. 20 July will forever be etched into my memory.. for all the wrong reasons.I'm glad to hear that you caught your tumour early and that treatment does not involve chemo or radiotherapy. I trust that you have recovered well from the mastectomy. Since my last post, i have found out that I am actually BRCA2 positive, so I have opted to have a bilateral mastectomy - most likely in the next few weeks. I try not to think of it too much, as the thought of it is so very scary.. :( I will also be on hormonal treatment and am currently tossing up between taking Tamoxifen or an Aromatase Inhibitor such as Arimidex.. how are you finding Arimidex and are you experiencing any side effects? Thanks in advance.
