The radiologists talk to you throughout the process and let you know when each session is coming to an end. You will have a minute to wriggle your toes and take a deep breath before the next lot of images starts. They also gave me a call button. You can choose music to listen to but the imaging machine is pretty noisy. I was face down and just focused on the music. Good luck tomorrow - I wouldn't have a problem doing it again. Jane x
I've not had an MRI for bc but had one a few years back during my first pregnancy. Like all procedures/tests the the idea is worse than the reality. The staff will help you through it. Claustrophobics could certainly struggle with this one, so be prepared if this is you. I found it less confronting and easier than bone scan. Best wishes for tomorrow... you can do it!
if you find it getting too much, ask for the air to blow on your face along with the music, I am claustrophobic & it really helped me. Also, keep your eyes closed whilst in there. (i was face up though) and the valium helped too, but i had to get that myself from my GP & take it prior, then have someone take me home
It's more boring than anything else. You lie face down for it and they play music for you as they give you headphones so they can speak to you. If your clostaphobic ask for some valium . All the Staff will put you at ease. Please don't worry you will be fine.
