MRI results

Dr eaton rang yesterday whilst I was asleep recovering from the wedge resection of bcc on my ear ! Yep it has been a full on week.... Anyway the news is Camilla and Charles seem to be joined by a small track. I guess one has spread to the other. So overall there is about 3 cm involved with cancer. The good news is there are no other areas . He is also talking about doing a mastectomy using a verticle j shaped scar to try to achieve a better cosmetic outcome. I meet with him on Monday for more details. Tori had her 20th birthday yesterday and we got to get together with family. She is in the middle of exams. Caitlin has only one exam to go. Mike is struggling. So we have to remain positive with the news so far. I am hopeful that I will not need chemotherapy. There is so much information to absorb...it is a bit overwhelming but I am trying to learn to relax and think positive thoughts. The next thing is to look at my diet and start eating lots of antioxidants!. I know some friends have had difficulty working out how to get onto the blog. For all u clever ones who have been successful could you help the others..... I think it is a 2 step process do joining , then finding me as charzy then requesting to be my friend .. No more news till Monday so till then have a wonderful weekend and try to laugh a lot . It is good for you ! Cxxx

  • Dear Char, I have been waiting to read your results. Thankfully retained in one breast and no where else!! Woo Hoo!! On Saturday, I wept uncontrollably when Dan arrived for her wedding. The celebrant who new of Dan's battle, took me under her "wing" as she could see that I was really struggling when my baby and "survivor" Dan arrived. It was the day we all had been waiting for, for her to marry the man who has stood by her, for the 2 years that she was having treatment and unable to work.....so my tears were then overtaken by so much fun, dancing and laughter at the reception. Mike, Char will be fine... It's a wrotten process, with all the uncertaintity, the unknown, and all the ifs and buts!! Stay strong for each other, I know it's hard...but I did it by myself.....so friggen hard....you are allowed to "cry" Mike, men are allowed too, and there are times without a doubt that you do "struggle"...I still do.... Good luck, everything crossed, for today, to find out the next chapter in "your journey" Char.. My love to you all, Deb.
