MRI Rebate for Younger Women

Hi Everyone

I'm Nicca -  new to the policy team here at BCNA.

Just thought I'd let you know about a submission we recently prepared, with input from some of our fantastic consumer representatives. 

The Australian Government will be reviewing the evidence for extending a Medicare rebate to younger women who have a prior diagnosis of breast cancer. 

BCNA strongly supports affordable access to MRI.  Our submission outlines some of the benefits of extending a rebate to younger women who are referred for MRI scans.

    Hi Nicca, Thank you for advice about this submission to extend the Medicare rebate for MRIs. Having just had my 3rd MRI since my diagnosis, the $400 a time expense is a further burden on top of the scan. I hope BCNA's submission helps raise the inequity of this charge.
