It has been a full-on June for you - the biggest hurdle, surgery, is now behind you - after 4 days I guess you are at home again or getting ready to be. Hope you found it manageable too - I was surprised how relatively painfree my recovery was. Panadol did the trick for me after the first couple of days.
No, I wasn't sick on chemo until the very last treatment, when I felt a bit spacey and dizzy. Up until then the pre & post meds kept all side effects under control. I was one of the lucky ones and I hope you will be, too. I found that a cup of green tea with fresh ginger slices first thing each morning was a real tonic - really noticed a difference if I didn't have it. Yes, I lost my hair, but not until almost at the end, when it became thinner and I cut it off. My synthetic wig then took over along with scarves & turbans. If you can get to a Look Good Feel Better night, they are wonderful and great fun and teach you how to handle all the above, as well as give you lovely make-up to take home.
Don't go to Dr Google - there is some nutty info out there! Have you asked for your My Journey kit from BCNA yet? It's free and a mine of information and advice. It also lists reliable sites to visit.
All the best - stay in touch and let us know how things are going. Michelle xx
