Hi there @arpie...yeah...glow in the dark... As it happened, I was having physio and then hydrotherapy on my left shoulder for a hardened and shortened pectoral muscle. Amongst other exercised, there were some that involved pushing pieces of pool noodle under the water to the front, then the side, then sweeping across the water. Well...ring a ding ding....this caused severe pain in my right shoulder. I was told to "Just push through" that it would loosen up. Nahh...it didn't. It siezed up completely and was subsequently diagnosed as adhesive capsulitis...frozen shoulder. A rotator cuff tear was ruled out. Well, the agony!!! I was in excruciating pain even at rest, and the slightest movement of the upper arm had me gasping in pain. Because I've been on warfarin for 20+ years, I can't take non steriodal anti inflammatories and become violently sick with targin, endone and the like. I was eventually seen by the pain clinic ( a professor) and was given Fentanyl patches (kiddy strength), which I used for about four months. Stopped them myself thereafter, and now it is pain free, but still very stiff..almost two years so far now from the start. Hopefully it will continue to improve.
