Lymphedema and hormone therapy

My lymphedema was at its worst during chemotherapy a few years ago but I have still had to wear my sleeve on and off during hormone therapy.
Over a month ago I stopped hormone therapy due to a heart reaction and it has just dawned on me I haven't had to put my sleeve on in a few weeks. It seems the hormone therapy was keeping the lymphedema going.

  • Interesting article Brenda, thanks for sharing. It'd be good if my lymphoedema eased when I eventually finish Tamoxifen (still got about 3yrs to go). Will be interested to share this with my therapist and colleagues working in lymphoedema to hear what they have to say.
  • Interesting. I wear my sleeve regularly, it's more a question of keeping my arm stable than fixing something if it starts. As I had lymphoedema before starting letrozole, I have no real comparisons. A good thing to discuss with my therapist, thanks. Not sure it would cause me to stop letrozole, but something perhaps to add to the list of undesirables against the (shorter!) list of the great unknown.
