- SoldierCrabMemberthanks Iserbrown for doing this stuff I am busy with work at present.
- iserbrownMemberNot sure what you're seeing when you open the group but if you scroll down the page the first post at present is for you from @primek - this is the link - http://onlinenetwork.bcna.org.au/discussion/17880/new-member#latest
Have you had an email welcoming you to the group? if not hopefully @mum2jj @bcna or one of the other moderators, for that site will come on and fix it for you! - desinhaMemberI actually clicked that button (Join) in the morning and SoldierCrab confirmed that Mum2jj has approved my request. However I am not able to browse any content although I no longer see 'Join' button on the Home Page !!
- iserbrownMember@mum2jj someone needs help please!

There is a box on the right hand side that says Join - you need to click on that and request to join and then one of the moderators, perhaps @mum2jj will join you up - desinhaMember@iserbrown , @SoldierCrab I am not able to read any threads under 'choosing-breast-reconstruction' group. Not sure if there is any specific link or icon that we need to click to access the group discussions? On the Home Page I don't see any such option :(
- SoldierCrabMember@"deepti.sinha"
want to encourage you I was TNBC back in sept 2012 I am now NO evidence of Disease and over 5 years out since diagnosis.
I chose to have a double mastectomy chemo and rads... I didnt reconstruct as I am happy with being flat. - primekMemberHi yes I had reconstruction done. My photo story is in te reconstruction group so will look out for you there.
- MollygirlMemberSorry, not daily as above - just often complications etc. Daily would be scary!! My role within the hospital means I oversee every admission of all patients so I guess I see it all!
- MollygirlMemberHi @"deepti.sinha", like my breast ca twin above (LOL @onemargie) I too had triple negative breast ca. April 2017.
I had lumpectomy and nodes out. Then five months of chemo so I had time to make the decision between radiation and mastectomy. I opted for bilateral mastectomies so I didn't have to do rads. A radiated breast is equivalent to a mastectomy.
I too am a nurse so see recurrence and complications daily. I also have people in my orbit who've had recurrences and in the other breast. Radiation worried me as lump was on left and I didn't want my heart muscle radiated. Again nurses paranoia and sometimes you can know too much.
I havent had recon, at the moment am comfortable and ok with my decisions. I know it's difficult ( understatement) because you kind of want your surgeon or onc to make the decisions for you - but it's up to you. Be guided by them but ultimately do what you feel you will feel best with.
We are all here for you. Ask lots of questions. We are always happy to share our own experiences.
best wishes, Bec xx
