HiAnnabanna easy to say but very hard to do. Try not to get too far ahead of yourself and yes the waiting waiting waiting is really the hardest part. Along with the emotional roller coaster might be worthwhile hooking up with a breast care nurse or a mcgrath cancer care nurse they usually are the best source of local information Mine led me to the local cancer wellness centre that have heaps of alternative/ complimentary ways of coping with this Sh*t show called Cancer
Ad jjr23 said We have to be very careful of the interaction between medications and supplements. I personally didn’t realise that a particular type of orange was going to have an impact on my medication. I knew grapefruit was in the not to have list.
its the same with some of the antihistamine I take it for an annoying side effect from one of my MET’s drugs oncologist told me which ones I could have. My gastroenterologist for my now removed gallbladder switched my reflux tablet to ease its side effects. Still have the reflux. Plus he suggested natural peppermints to suck and they are the best value for money. My lung clinic told me what to do when adverse weather etc affects my lungs. Eg wind etc And what natural things i could safely buy at the local shops for the side effects from my puffers.
when your appointed medical oncologist sets out your future ongoing treatment after you finish with the initial stuff you will be better placed to use the natural alternative/ complimentary.
i just try to have a balanced healthy diet with lots of water.
