Hi Cosette and Ann-Marie,
Thanks again for the opportunity to give feedback. As you brought up the topic of tags I have a question with regards to our tags in the BROG. As facilitators we have the ability to re-tag posts. This is a huge part of the admin job. We try to keep the list of "all topics" as short as we can and group posts together so that when a member is looking for specific information it can be found all grouped together in one tag for eg reconstruction implants. There used to be a number appearing after a tag letting you know how any posts were in that tag. Our list of tags is growing every day and sometimes it is just a simple thing like a misspelt word and then we have yet another tag. It would be great that any tags we have removed or re-tagged to a more suitable tag could be removed from the list I don't know if this is a really hard thing to do or not. I would be prepared to make a list of unused tags if that is all that would be required? But I suspect it may be harder than that. I think in the old network (there I go referring to the olden days again), these tags with no attached posts would just drop off. In regards to this I think your suggestion of tags being optional is a really great one.
Thanks again.
Paula :)
