Apparently the difference between Letrozole and Femara is the coating of the pill with some saying they have had side effects with Letrozole because of it but not on Femara. Me I take Letrozole and have for 6 months.Managing ok - yes have had joint pain/stiffness , bit of the blues but find that a daily walk helps a lotwith both -can walk thru joint pain and seem to cope better with daily life.Oddly am not at all athletic but find I look forward to it and get tetchy if I don’t.Losing weight not sure but I seem to eat better and less as well as drink a lot more tea when I walk which is good enough . Might add I did not have chemo which may account for my managing better than those who have as gather chemo has its impacts on knocking the body around but I did have radiotherapy.I was osteoporotic with a fracture before bc and was placed on 6 monthly Prolia injections to build bone as Letrozole/Femara does damage bone density so far so good on that front - was worried about Prolia but have had no problems and due for my next jab soon. I take Letrozole in the morning . I also take 2Caltrate Bone and Muscle health tablets - 1 morning 1 afternoon and 1 krill oil tablet in the morning the latter a sugg3tion by my oncologist. My Caltrate has a bit of Magnesium in it and have read many ladies swear by Magnesium powder. I also have read here that Panadol Osteo is useful and I bought some but as yet have not needed it. If you can fit it in and are up to it I really urge you to try a daily 1 hour walk for a couple of weeks and see what you think/feel -I find it has made such a difference for me. PS I wear Earplugs and listen to music on my phone as I forget I am exercising.
