LCIS questions
After the pathology report of my breast tissue, they said I had a small ILC tumour and I had LCIS right through my breast. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this?
My surgeon was very thorough prior to my mastectomy, and I had another mammogram and ultrasound of my good breast, to ensure that I didn't need to have a double mastectomy. I also had all the body and bone scans to check that there were no secondary cancers. I felt comfortable to get on with the job when I had my initial surgery. I also had a discussion with the breast surgeon about the treatment team and we had a plan in place for follow up chemo and rads. This made it easier for me to get on with treatment. Hope this helps, all the very warmest of wishes to you and your family xxx
