well Daryl will have his op tuesday 20th tomorrow at 7am and be in ICU around 5ishpm he is getting 5 arteries done and also a mitral valve repair.

so it will be a long day. so i will let you all know tomorrow night pray ladies and send him strength .

Hi Fran, thinking of you and Daryl and hoping for a good outcome.  Like Tanya, my father also had 5 done nearly 20 years ago and hasn't looked back since, so hang in there.  Best wishes to you both.

I am so glad that you have support - cry always to let out the pressure.  You are doing a great job not crying in front of Daryl as he would then not know what to do.  You of course need to be his rock for now.  We are all here as ears and support for you. XLeonie

Well that's just torture to psyche yourself up for major surgery and then have it cancelled -twice!! He probably had to fast twice too.No wonder he is anxious and depressed,poor man.You are doing a great job being his rock and hiding your tears.But must be so hard for you when you go back to your hotel room. We are all thinking of you and Daryl.Sending love and hugs and will pray for Tuesday to come and go without a hitch.

Oh Fran how terrible, to have your husband's op cancelled twice is just so unfair, especially when the man is so sick. Understandably he is depressed and is it any wonder.  All you can do is be strong for him and be there when he needs you, anxiety/depression is such an awful debilitating illness. Don't forget to take care of yourself, so you can in turn look after your hubby.  You have a long road of recovery ahead for both of you.  I am glad you are getting support from the social worker and your family, as you can't go it alone all the time.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both at this very difficult time and I wish you well.

Don't feel alone in your motel room, just jump on here, there will always be someone to talk to.

shedding my tears along with you Fran, i REALLY wish him recovery soon. Neither of you need this kind of stress.

Do you have a counsellor you can chat with? Might be an idea to source one.

well thanks again everyone, i have shed many tears, and very worried, he gets weaker and weaker they have slowed his heart down as much as possible to keep him alive, i keep strong for him but it's soooo hard, i leave the hospital in tears. he is to have 5 arteries done and most only get 2 or 3 / 4 occasionally but rarely five. they will take veins from his arms / legs and chest.. girls pray for him and that he will be strong enough. . i will be okay have a cry and go to bed , thankyou all its good to be able to just get this out. i feel all the love and hugs.

oh fran, i am soooo sorry to read this today, but like tonya said its great that it was found & he can be treated so early...i will keep everything crossed for not only friday but from now until he is well again-and he will be..keep us informed please......sending my love
