Last chemo day - Yeh and double Yeh

What a good feeling.  Time does go by quickly as it doesn't seem that long ago that I started.  Chemo two took so long to reach chemo 3 then chemo 3 sailed by so quickly then now it is over.  Just the "tide to ride" for the next month.  Then look out world here I come!!!.  I am off to Brisbane to see my children, son-in-law and my grandchildren.  Then I'm off to Melbourne to see my big sister and take her with me to Raelene Boyle's gala birthday.  I am so looking forward to the event to be able to be with the "normal" crowd and be normal for an evening.  And of course a chance to glam up.  Surprise surprise, today a new wig arrived from America and it is longer than my "old" hair.  I have a short wig that looks wonderful but I miss my "old" long hair. Oh well I suppose I better rest up soon before that "big rock " falls on me.   Leonie is on her way back - SOON.  XLeonie

    So glad to hear you're feeling normal again. I remember when that happened for me. It's really good to feel like you can begin to enjoy life again. WOW! You are going to be busy, attending all those celebrations and parties! Enjoy. You are a beautiful person Leonie. Love and blessings, Chris.

    Hi Shirl,

    Still going to Raelene's 60th - whatever will stop me!!!  Haven't heard anything on the Summit.  I registered as a CLO and some others here took all the other places that I could have "cashed in on"  ie Cancer Support Group or The Dragon boat club - I am a member of both.  Anyway I will just have to wait to see.  Apparently all the member groups are in first then if there are any places BCNA will include CLO's.  I will know early next month.  Just have to be patient I guess.  XLeonie

    Hi there, welcome to "normal" ..... what ever, where ever, how ever that is !!!!  Haven't been there myself - according to those who know me - but apparently it's very nice !!!

    Enough silliness ..... so glad you are feeling better.  You'll be able to resume your social life now, can't have anything coming between you and a good time can we?

    Are you still going to Melb for the big birthday bash, and what about the Summit - any word on that yet?  Mandy and Nicole are going, haven't heard if anyone else in our August group will be there.  It will be a great couple of days!!!

    Thats great news Leonie. Have a great time with your family and in Melbourne. Nothing better than to celebrate end of chemo with a trip. I am doing the same. Good Luck xox

    Day 6 and I am starting to feel somewhat normal.  Have had high temps up until today. XLeonie  Just so pleased to put this behind me.

    That's great Leonie.

    Still haven't caught up with you in Rocky. I don't get down there very often but when I do, I'm busy shopping and catching up with our son and his wife and our granddaughter.

    It's nearly been a year since I finished radiation in Brisbane, so it won't take long now for a year to be up for you as well.
