Just saying hello.

Hi all, I am not using computer much, only iPhone. Am not on here much really, but if any Tasmanian members want to ask any questions, it is ok. My tumours were oestrogen negative, stage 2. Still living in the N. E. of Tasmania. All the best to you, Katherine.

  • Hi Mandy My husband and I live just out of Longford. (Cressy side) We moved over from the mainland in December last year. I would love to catch up for a cuppa sometime. Just let me know when you're available . I am currently in Melbourne for my 2nd round of AC tomorrow and flying back on Thursday. I hope to be back up and running? by mid- end next week. Hope to hear from you xox Silke

  • Hi Silke,

no just turn up and make yourself know to the girls. Mary may now be away (family stuff) but there will be Lorraine and others who are LOVELY. I am sorry I wont be there, where do you live? I am in Trevallyn and could meet for a cuppa sometime if you would like.

    Take special care, Mandy

  • I would like to join in on the next meeting on the 2nd Sept. My next round of chemo is Wednesday next week, so the date of the meeting works well. Will I need to contact Mary Maloney beforehand or can I just arrive there? Can I bring anything? Cheers Silke x
  • Hi Silks, I hope you are going along ok. Our group meets on the first Tuesday of each Minh at the Cancer Council centre, 69 Howick Street. We alternate between mornings and evenings so the next meeting is on Sept 2 at 10am. You are most welcome to attend, we are a friendly, informal group and have a site with the info set out on BCNA 's search for groups. If you have any concerns let me know, I will be away for the next meeting but the co-conveyor is Mary Maloney and I can get her to welcome you, collect you etc. If you want. (I am away from 23/8/14 -8/9/14.) We also have a Tasmanian Breast Cancer Network page, and also one on Facebook. Best wishes, Mandy
  • Hi Katherine. I too live in the northern part of Tassie and only use my iPhone :) I was wondering if you know of any support groups/ meetings in Launceston. My chemo starts next Wednesday and I am yet to see how this will affect me, but I am hoping to join some local group. How far are you into your treatment? Hope to hear from you again Cheers x
