Just had the CT & Bone scan

Just landed home after the CT & Bone scans, although the scans themselves where not as bad as I thought they would be, I did not think much of the effect the special drink had, I had to run to the toilet 4 times within the hour of drinking it.

The dye for the CT scan has improved a lot over the years & the flush did not last long at all, so I worried for no reason ( was up from 2 AM ).

I have noticed since coming home a pain between my shoulder blades, if the cause of that is anything they injected in to me or due to the full tear I have had in my right shoulder since July I don't know, but I don't normally feel any pain there.

Now to wait the results, I have not yet met my surgeon so do not know if he will write/phone or if his intern who I saw will contact me.

My mastectomy is on the 10TH Feb so hope I don't have to wait that long.

  • Thank you all for the advise. The pain between the shoulder pain is now more of a stiffness so must have been with being on the scanner in the same position for too long.

I will definitely tell him about the tear in my right shoulder as the cancer is in the RB & he will be doing a SNB.

Yes now the wait begins for the results so I am going to take a leaf out of your book Adean & go on a cooking & cleaning spree.

Thank you for all you help ladies you are keeping me sane.

  • Hi, waiting is the worst isn't it, our brains seem to go into overdrive, I remember I cleaned everything to within an inch of its life. Lol did lots of cooking and put it in the freezer. I hope everything goes well for you adean

Hi Skitzy, welcome to the network. You should probably mention the pain you have with your surgeon prior to your surgery.

Wishing you all the best for your surgery on Feb 10th

    Trace ????????

  • The shoulder blade thing is probably a muscle. I had the same thing for a few days after a bone scan. Sort of even catches you when you breath. Did anyone help you off the bed? That's when I think mine got pulled. Too relaxed before hand, then instant action, up you get!
