Every two years or thereabouts since 2001 I have been having colonoscopies. No big deal. I go into an endoscopy centre, pay the approx $500 and in return get very gentle care, rather than going public. They don’t hurt me and every time the result is the same, a couple polyps, cut out, move on. I haven’t stressed or been anxious after the first one. This time around I have to keep telling myself to calm down. Honestly annoyed with myself. I know what to expect. BC trauma has a lot to answer for. Roll on Wednesday, I need to get it out of the way.
