I hope I can be as brave as you - thinking I might book into my GP but might see how big it is. I guess I have to think how this will help me too.

I also was terrified of needles and always had to get my best friend to hold my hand whenever I had jags at school. I had neutrophenia after my 1st chemo and was hospitalized for nearly a week. I had a temperature and also had tonsillitis which I hadn't suffered from since I was 7. I don't know how I managed it but I was able to inject myself. It was quite a small needle and it helped that I had to inject into the little pudgy bit on my stomach. Didn't really feel it. I did have to give myself a major pep talk beforehand though. I was thinking I would go to my GP, or I work with our staff health clinic and one of the girls would do it for me. So I will do either of those.  Yeah it must be neulasta as she said 24hrs after chemo. Does it help you? she did say for a short time I might feel like I have the flu - do you get any side affects. might look into a pro biotic - good idea. I am feeling ok and have worked a full week this week, might be a couple of weeks before that happens again.

I have a jab of neulasta 24 hours after each chemo. I am terrified of needles too so I go back to the chemo clinic to get the nurses to administer it. Was also asked to self inject too but I did not think I could. Also, my local gp surgery was prepared to do so if I wanted but as it turn out, there was no need as I got it done back at the chemo clinic.

Btw,  I took some probiotic for bloated tummy  recommended by my onco before my 4th chemo and the wbc and neotrophil improved vastly. This is addition to the jab.
