- FLCloverMember@Jwrenn 😳😳. I know I had a blue injection but it was during surgery (nipple/skin sparing). I’m curious now 🤔. I’ll ask my surgeon when I see her next
- JwrennMember@FLClover the blue dye injection was the most painful thing I had done during my treatment and I only had one, my cousin had four and didn’t tell me till afterwards so she wouldn’t scare me! The hook wire was easy in comparison. Maybe it is only people who’ve had a lumpectomy.
- FLCloverMemberThanks @Jwrenn 😁. My medical team were discussing the reason in front of me. One was saying it’s prob because of the blue dye, another was saying it would’ve all
exited my system by then, so it seemed like they didn’t really know. I also wasn’t aware I had it put in, so realised it only as they were speaking. One mentioned possible infection which scared me quite a bit. No wonder I’m traumatised by the whole thing. Lucky the blue movement only lasted about a day, but I haven’t had blue nipples at all. Maybe it only happens to ladies who have wide local excision 🤔🤷🏼♀️ - JwrennMember@FLClover the blue/green bowel motion was normal after the blue dye I was told by either the bc nurse or surgeon. I thought it was all the veggie soup I was eating after surgery and pain meds to keep me regular!
- FLCloverMemberHi @Dory65 I had that too. Maybe I didn’t see blue afterwards cos I only had 3 nodes removed 🤔. However, and this is disgusting so I’m sorry, I did have very green/blue bowel movements my second day post op. I was so worried they considered keeping me an extra day, but then sent me home with equipment I’d need to test it if it had continued. Lucky it didn’t.
- Dory65MemberHi @FLClover, mine is definitely from the sentinel node tracking.
- FLCloverMember@Dory65 Is this blue from the dye that gets injected during mastectomy?? I had double, with sentinel node removal on both sides, but I don’t have any blue on nipples and surrounding area 🤷🏼♀️
- Dory65MemberA year on and still blue. Radiotherapy tattoos look like blue texta marks.
- SmurfeeMemberAbout a year for me.
- CathywMemberYes who would have thought blue nipples are a shared experience..happy spring to you too
