How long does hair take to fall out?
I'm on my second round of chemo and my hair has started falling out- but just bits and pieces. In the mean time it looks terrible and I can't style it because my scalp hurts. I cut it into a short pixie to make the falling out process less awful but now it's all flat and weird looking so I'm keeping it covered. There is hair all over the place but it's still not falling out full-scale. I don't feel like I'd be able to shave it either as my scalp feels too sensitive. What did you ladies do? (I'm attaching a picture of my recent pixie cut. I can't get it to look like that now because every time I try moving my hair it hurts and I get a handful of hair, now it looks all squashed and patchy. Also I don't look as chirpy as that at the moment, my neck has gone kind of fat too).)

- @KylieG I rocked a turban. Follow @braveryco on Instagram and she does turban tutorials. U can use any scarf but I found thin long ones the most effective.

Showers are great , easy to maintain and I felt in control again :)
Feel a bit edgy / rock chick too... - @KylieG My hair was down past my shoulders. Cut it off short and as soon as it started shedding off it came with the clippers. It was the best feeling and so much cooler. I just got a heap of funky bandanas to wear. Nice and cool and practical too. No wigs for me. Too bloody hot. My way of dealing With the baldness was with humour. Hubby came up with some rippers. Hope this doesn’t offend anyone but it was our way of dealing with it.Kojak

margie xx - Yup. Showers are awesome with a bald head. Almost want to shave it all off again. So glad I didn’t do the cold cap thing. Delicious.

just wanted to come back and say I shaved my head- and I feel fan-freakin-tastic! And the bald head doesn’t look too bad either! So don’t wallow in the in-between stage! We are the same its really sore.. I think its because of the hair follicles.
Plus, I think its more traumatic for me whenever I shower and lots of hair are falling that I dont even know how will I dry it 😂😂
So to end my suffering, I went to the hairdresser and have her shave it off. She is so good because she is very careful not to to give me any cuts. So now, its not sore anymore 😊 I hope this helps.. - I had the sore scalp dreadfully @KylieG. I tried the cold cap for two rounds but it didn't work. My hair started falling out on Day 14, exactly when they said it would! I ended up going to a hipster barber and it didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. Best of luck. K xox
