How long after chemo finishes can you have a mastectomy
I have to go in for a mastectomy and lymph node clearance when chemo finishes. How long do you usually have to wait after chemo finishes before you can go for surgery?

About 4 weeks seems to be the norm. Enough time for your white cells to recover and you to get your guts sorted out after chemo so you aren't heading in constipated and malnourished.
As others have said, it can be earlier, but I'd think that would be driven by surgeon availability and pressure you may be under to get back to work or the urgency to remove active cells.
