Hi Rowdy,
Hope your knee heals well. It is surprising what will bring those emotions and memories rising to the surface. Everytime I drive past the hospital (surgery and chemo) and place that I had my radiation (just 500m from the hospital) I feel that surge of emotion.
I am glad that both my surgeon and medical oncologist have moved to different premises and this helps when I have my 6 monthly checks. I have my three year mammogram and ultrasound next month so that will be my next jolt to the system.
I am struggling with my emotions at the moment due to 2 close bc friends having serious cancer situations once again. Makes me more determined to enjoy as much as possible each and every day. I am making myself appreciate the little things and catching all those little negative thoughts that creep in if we let them.
I also appreciate the terrific friends and support that I have experienced on here. Enjoy being looked after by that lovely husband of yours.
