Hello everyone, well today I've been placed on my hormone blocking treatment which I need to take for 10yrs... wow 10yrs who would have thought???? Anyway i've been placed on Arimidex, would love to know if you are taking hormone blocking which one are you on and what side effects do you have?

Morning I started on Tamoxifan and was on it for about 15 months. I recently visited my oncologist and it was suggested to try Arimidex. I had a blood test to make sure I was post menopausal and told I needed to take vitamin D and caltrate. I suffer terrible joint pain in the knees and feet but I feel better emotionally. The body is a strange and amazing thing it reacts differentley from medications in everyone. Good luck I hope you do well on it xx

I have been on Femara (I am post menopause) for two and a half years, and as far as I know I have had no side effects. I have a bone density test coming up but so far it's been fine. I was tempted to think a bit of hair shedding a year ago might have been caused by it, but it's settled down, hair looks fine and may just be a side effect of age : (. Can't blame everything on cancer treatment! Good luck!
