Home at last

Hey Kim I'm having my bilateral reconstruction and Tram flap on the 16th August at Westmead and my surgeon is Dr Thomas Lam . I know exactly how you feel . I was diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer in 2009 I had a r mastectomy and chemo and radiotherapy . I am both excited and frightened about the upcoming surgery. I am having an elective mastectomy so I know how you feel about seeing 2 breasts again as I have had over 4 years now with just one so I think it will be almost surreal to see 2 breasts again not to mention the added benefit of a tummy tuck ! My surgeon tells me I won't like him very much for the first few days but I guess that is all part of the process . It has been so good to hear from others who have been through this in particular Louise who has been a font of knowledge and a great support . Would love to hear how you go . I will post as soon as able to give the low down . I too am keeping everything crossed in hopes of a trouble free surgery and recovery x Jenni
