Hit the wall
Hello ladies Well bang I have hit the wall. I had surgery about a month ago and am up to day 7 radiation today. I haven't been sleeping but did last night. I woke up this morning like I was hungover or getting a virus. Didnt even have the energy to stand up to blow dry my hair. Boy oh boy hope this passes quickly. Took some panadol for a headache but oh my god this has knocked the wind out of my sails. I am sure by tomorrow my energy levels will have returned. I can only hope. On the bright side my boob is not doing too bad all things considered bit coloured and bit sore now 4 days off. All have a merry xmas

- cranky_grannyMemberHi @buster I remember those days I’m only 5months finished radiation and it is a different type of exhaustion. I felt at the end of the week like someone had put me under a slab of concrete. The good thing is it does go away I’m still trying to find my new normal, and looking forward to a year without treatment just checkups
- busterMemberHi DearB I am a pretty fit person as I was dance training 5 nights a week so I know what fatigue is but last thurs was on another level. So relaxing on holidays is the key and hopefully wont be bad. Good to see there is a light at the end of the tunnel
- DearBMemberI was shocked by how fatigued I was during and after radiation, i am only just feeling better now four months after, yesterday While walking our puppy I said oh wow I actually feel okay
- busterMemberYes @Mollygirl it seems to be. Were you fatigued?
- MollygirlMemberGreat to hear @buster, ahhhh, the highs and lows of BC. It's a roller coaster alright. X
- busterMemberHi ladies I bounced back today thank you. I have a band of radiation like a boob tube from under my boob to above that wraps around to part of my back so something is working. My husband is now home to help me with xmas but thank you all a much better day. I just hope it was not a taste of what is to come but like everyone one day at a time. I will adjust my sails @iserbrown ha ha
- MollygirlMemberTake care @buster. Xx
- iserbrownMemberLet the team know of your symptoms. The wind may have been knocked from your sails but you will adjust.
- onemargieMemberHi there @buster hoping you are feeling a bit better this morning. Margie x
- busterMemberHi @Zoffiel yeah if it keeps up I shall. I now have 4 days off from treatment so I get a chance to have a break. The oncologist said the pub hols will work to my advantage she hoped. Maybe it was just my thumping headache too. Thanks so much for your concern. Jill
