  • Hi Shazza, what a year you have had. I have just read through your blogs, and my cancer journey ran along side yours in that I was diagnosed just before Christmas 2010 and have had 5 surgeries, and 4 chemos and now on hormone blockers, which I hate as well. I have not had the rough time you have had, but can appreciate how much you hate your hormone blockers. They make me feel 100 years old, with sore and stiff fingers, bad feet and knees and stiff hips. I don't sleep very well, due to the stiffness, and the dreadful hot flushes, but I would be very scared to go off this drug, just in case. I'm on femara, and have another 5 to 9 years on it. I would hate to have a recurrence, and then wished I stayed on it. I'm encouraged that these side effects go once off the drug, but I think I will wait till I'm finished with the drug to see how it settles, though when I whinge about my side effects, and how uncomfortable I am, another 5 or more years is a very long time to wait for normal joints and good quality if life. Good luck with your decision, only you can know what is best for you. I haven't heard of any natural hormone blockers I'm sorry. Love Chris x
